Policy Memo Challenge
Do your research conclusions indicate need for policy action? Does your NGO experience suggest an issue that needs to be addressed by policy action? Do you see a policy problem requiring policy action? ⇒ Let policy makers know about issues needing action and help them to understand what needs to be done and why.
Why Policy Memo?
Policy makers face many challenges. They have to make decisions under time pressure and based on imperfect information.
Policy makers have rarely time to find and read scientific articles and thick monographs.
Policy memorandum – or just policy memo – bridges the gap between researchers and policy makers by breaking down complex issues into essential facts, by proposing and evaluating a limited number of alternative courses of action.
